If you frequently wear nylon stockings you’re at higher risk of several foot problems.

This is because nylon doesn't ‘breathe’ - which means that it generates and traps perspiration. This, in turn, leads to a warm, damp area that’s an ideal place for fungal infections such as Athlete's Foot.

Pantyhose can also cause problems with the feet, because they don't allow the normal expansion of the foot when walking. This can pull the toes backward when the pantyhose ride up, causing cramping and pressure that contributes to ingrown toenails and hammertoes.
