Dysplasia (epiphysealis hemimelica)
Also known as Trevor disease, Dysplasia is an extremely rare non-hereditary disease which affects the bone joints.
There is approximately 1 case of the condition per million of population, and it is three times more common in males than in females. Dysplasia occurs mostly in the ankle or knee region and it is always confined to a single limb. Surgery is almost always required to correct the condition.
